Team Leader

Richetin Kevin

After a PhD in Neuroscience on Alzheimer’s disease, I joined in 2015 the group of Pr. Déglon to develop different viral tools for neurodegenerative diseases. In 2017, I join the group of Pr. Toni for a second postdoctoral fellowship to investigate the role of astrocytes in the progression of Alzheimer’s disease. Since 2020, I have established the Unit for Research on the Neurobiology of Aging in the Center for Psychiatric Neuroscience, Lausanne University Hospital.

My master studying the potential for brain-derived extracellular vesicles to be used as early diagnostic tools for various tauopathies.

Primary skills : Proteomic analysis, isolation and labeling

Luc Belinga

PhD Student

since 2022

My project aims to (1) improve the diagnosis of dementia in Africa using Biofluid and (2) better understand the links between psychiatric problems and the accumulation of Tau protein in the prefrontal cortex.

Primary skills: Clinical Neurosciences and animal experimentations

Valentin Zufferey

PhD student

Since 2019

I completed my master's degree at Richetin Lab 2019 on implementing high-throughput live microscopy. After several lab experiences, I joined the Richetin lab in 2022, where I worked on projects with pharmaceutical companies. In February 2024, I started a PhD in co-direction with Pr Pierre Marquet's group to develop new microscopy tools for phenotyping brain-derived extracellular vesicles.

Primary skills: Microscopy and image analysis

Aatmika Barve

PhD student

since 2022

I'm a PhD student interested in how the brain can release biomarkers into biofluids. More specifically, my projects focus on the analysis of saliva during the progression of Alzheimer's disease.

Primary skills: Molecular biology, proteomic and data analysis
